ScanArm

A ScanArm is a portable 7-axis measuring arm with adapted Laser Line Probe. The scanning unit is used to capture the surface of a measuring object without contact. Several tens of thousands of measuring points per second can be registered in this way. Control geometries or other optically poorly measurable structures can be determined quickly and reliably with the probe of the measuring arm in the same measurement data set as the optically measured point cloud.

Measuring volume:

The measuring volume of the ScanArm is limited by the respective length of the measuring arm. sigma3D uses measuring arms with different measuring arm lengths from 1.8 m to 3.6 m depending on the measuring application. The measuring volume can be extended at will by means of special measuring procedures.

Accuracy of measurement:

The measuring accuracy of the ScanArm depends on the length of the arm and the attached scanning unit. With the combination of both measuring instruments, practical accuracies of 0.07 mm to 0.12 mm can be achieved.

Software:

For the optical measurement with the ScanArm we use the software packages Polyworks, Spatial Analyzer or Metrolog depending on the measurement task.

Data exchange:

Data exchange is possible via e-mail, ftp server or directly on site. Alternatively, it is of course also possible to send it by post and CD data carrier. The latest measuring technology, software and our expertise offer you a highly accurate and digital truth.
